Abstract
The variation of the transition moment, Re(r), with the internuclear separation for the comet-tail band system of CO+ has been studied by the method developed by Jain and Sahni (1968). The expression for Re(r) has been used to calculate the Einstein A coefficients, the band oscillator strengths and the absolute band strengths for this system. Keywords
