Abstract
The direct action of atropine in concs. as high as 1:25,000 was studied in the whole auricle and ventricular strips of the turtle heart. Its effect on rhythmicity, contractility, absolute refractory period, tonus and conductivity at low rates of beating was slight and inconstant. The only significant action was de-pression of conductivity at high rates of beating. Keywords
