Abstract
Reconstructive procedures were investigated in meniscal lesions in 25 rabbits. Large meniscal defects were repaired with either a synovial flap or a carbon fiber implant. Fibrous tissue healing with occasional areas of fibrocartilage occurred after both types of reconstruction. When carbon fibers were used the ingrowing fibroblasts showed directional orientation. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
