Abstract
In an earlier paper, we studied the possibilities of obtaining phase contrast images of nano-precipitates in a matrix. In this paper, we examine the contrast obtained from nano-precipitates in a metallurgical sample, where the matrix and the inclusion are both crystalline and deformed. Experiment and theory show that very small inclusions will only be seen when all possible sources of contrast add, that is, they always appear darker than the matrix. Keywords
