Abstract
Improved life support for premature infants and their mothers increased the possibility of successful pregnancy outcome in the face of inexorably fatal maternal injury or disease. From the 24th to the 27th wk of gestation, the chances for fetal survival increase from 36% to 76%; during this part of pregnancy, vigorous life support for the mother with brain death can be of value. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
