Abstract
Eleven single-spore isolates from a single basidiocarp of Armillaria mellea were compared with each other and with the parent isolate in regard to pathogenicity and virulence on peach, Monterey pine and dwarf dahlia. Large variations in pathogenicity and virulence were found in the single-spore isolates. None of the single-spore isolates was as virulent and only one was as pathogenic as the parent in this experiment.
