Abstract
A method used to develop an optimized design for a single-sensor color electronic camera is described. A color filter array (CFA) that senses red (R), green (G), and blue (B) information in a manner consistent with the relative sensitivities of the human visual system (HVS), an optical prefilter, and an optimized image reconstruction scheme are utilized in this system which maximizes image quality for a given number of pixels on a sensor.Keywords
