Abstract
A crossed-beam apparatus with photon detectors is used for the determination of absolute photon emission cross sections for inelastic H+-Li(2s) collisions. The authors present details of experimentation and Li(2p) excitation cross sections for proton impact energies of 2-20 keV. The latter data compare well with available theory and are also discussed in context with active neutral Li beam diagnostics of magnetically confined plasma. Keywords
