Abstract
The self-scoring multiple-choice punchboard is an efficient device for confirmation of a correct response and correction of errors, but considerable anxiety may result from a number of corrections in close succession. This anxiety may be diluted to the level of beneficial stimulation by placing teams of students in competition, using the punchboard to validate or reject the group decision. Keywords
