Abstract
A study of the number, motility, and morphology of the spermatozoa in the seminal fluid was made in 91 normal males and in 49 males with a past history of mumps orchitis.. The age range was 18 to 30 years. In the former group there were 38% abnormal specimens; in the orchitis group there were 51% abnormal specimens. This was a significant difference, and mumps orchitis, therefore, can be expected to impair fertility in 1/10 of the cases contracting this complication. Keywords
