Abstract
The amount of CO2 respired, the surface area, and the number of lenticels per kgm. of large, medium, and small tubers of 3 vars. of potatoes were found to increase as the size of the tubers decreased. There was no consistent difference in the amount of CO2 respired per sq. cm. of surface, between large and small tubers. The amount of CO2 respired per lenticel was least for the small tubers and greatest for the large tubers. Keywords
