Experimental Demonstration of Optical Three-Layer Neural Network

Abstract

An optical three-layer neural network using a microchannel plate spatial light modulator (MSLM) is firstly demonstrated. The back-propagation learning algorithm is used to calculate optimum weight matrices. Experimental results on learning of exclusive OR operation are presented.
