Anencephaly and Clomiphene-Induced Pregnancy

Abstract
Patients (2) are presented giving birth to anencephalic infants following a course of clomiphene citrate to induce ovulation and improve fertility. In 1 case, artificial insemination is employed because of paternal azospermia. Amnioscopy reveals clear amniotic fluid with no evidence of abnormality. Both pregnancies are reported normal until the 8 mo. when abdominal roentgenograms are used to confirm suspicion of anencephaly with presentation of breech birth.
