Abstract
A complete description of two families of two-wavelength bright spatial solitons in Kerr media is presented. We calculate field profiles and power dispersion properties, and show that a simple variational approximation can be used to describe the fundamental soliton with great accuracy. Only the family of fundamental solitons is found to be stable on propagation. Keywords
