Abstract
We present a detailed morphological description of the peculiar spiral galaxy NGC 3310, where there is a noticeable jet-like feature. Its structure can be explained by means of a violent, strongly one-sided explosive jet event occurring some 1.8 × 107 yr ago, consuming the available material in the quite short time of about 107 yr. The central ‘powerhouse’ is presently in a quiescent, or refuelling, stage. Keywords
