Abstract
The mammalian fauna described from the Miocene cliffs along the Lectoure gulf (France) includes over 20 species and one new subspecies. The fauna is comparable to that from the Blesois, Touraine, and Anjou cliffs and confirms the lower Helvetian age assigned to the cliffs of the northern shore of the Gulf of Gascony on the basis of marine invertebrates.
