Abstract
Digital subtraction angiography with intra-arterial injection of contrast medium (IA DSA) was performed on 107 general angiography patients and approximately 35 neuroangiography patients. IA DSA had several advantages over standard film-screen techniques: a need for less contrast medium, reduced need for selective arterial catheterization, lower film cost, shortened examination time, ability to obtain a road map and more ready detection of contrast medium. The DSA apparatus should become an integral part of any sophisticated angiography installation. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
