Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A twenty-one-year-old college student was admitted to the hospital because of weakness in the legs and confusion.He had been well until thirteen months previously, when he fell while skiing, landing in a sitting position. He continued to ski but six hours later entered another hospital because of back pain and slight pain in the neck. A large hematoma was observed in the left buttock. X-ray films of the lower spine were normal. He was discharged after two days, and the symptoms subsided. Two months thereafter he became aware of weakness and a "rubbery . . .Keywords
