Abstract
The relaxation time constants, T2’s of the 616←523 rotational line of H2O, self‐broadened by H2O and foreign‐gas broadened by He, H2, N2, and CO, are determined by the frequency switched microwave transient method. The relaxation constants of the M=5 and M=4 components in the presence of Stark fields are also examined. A novel method to stabilize the modulated microwave frequency is successfully developed. Keywords
