Abstract
A consecutivek-within-m-out-of-nsystem consists ofnidentical and stochastically independent components arranged on a line. The system will fail if and only if withinmconsecutive components, there are at leastkfailures. LetTnbe the system's lifetime. Then, under quite general conditions we prove that there is a positive constantasuch that the random variablen1/kaTnconverges to a Weibull distribution asn→∞.Keywords
