Abstract
Nuclear magnetic resonance, a developing technique for visualizing soft tissue pathology that is inaccessible to any modality utilizing ionizing radiation, seems likely to eventually outdistance CT scanning in clinical usefulness. In the near future, NMR, now in its infancy, should complement CT scanning and be increasingly used in probing hematologic and metabolic processes. Keywords
