Abstract
An analytical procedure for the rapid assay of trace quantities of bromide ion is described. An exchange resin contained in a filter disk is used to separate the ion and the bromide concentration is then measured as an emission intensity on the x-ray spectrograph. Analytical error is estimated at 5% and 0.05 ppm Br is the statistical detectability limit when compared with a standard disk containing 100 ppm Br−.Keywords
