Abstract
In barium chloranilate method for determining sulfur oxides in air or sulfate ion in water proposed by Bertolacini (Anal. Chem. 29, 281 (1957)), the absorbance is always constant in the range of pH 5.2∼7.9, while at pH 4.0 the absorbance is affected by the little variation of pH. Therefore, the buffer solution of pH 5.2 gives the more reliable results than that of pH 4.0.Keywords
