Abstract
The theoretical foundations of the application of enzymes for the cytochemical diagnosis in hematology are discussed. Investigations concerning granulations, cytoplasm and nuclear chromatin of red and white blood cells of healthy individuals and in patients with diseases of the blood and the blood-formation tissues are reported with special reference to the effect of hyaluronidases, nucleases and amidases. The significance of the plasma-nucleases for the peripheral regulation of the leucocytes is stressed.
