Abstract
The results of an investigation by differential reflectivity of the reflectivity change due to the deposition of small amounts of Ag (10 to 200 A) on a cold (140 K) polycrystalline smooth Ag substrate are presented. The modifications of the optical properties due to the roughening of the surface are analysed, the annealing of the deposited Ag overlayers is investigated and their relationship with Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) is discussedKeywords
