Abstract
A partial melt/texture growth process has been applied to plasma‐sprayed YBa2Cu3O7−x deposits. The length of the aligned grains is in the range 300–500 μm. Small‐angle grain boundaries with a misorientation between 3° and 5° are commonly observed. The critical current density, using a four‐probe method with continuous direct current, is in excess of 5000 A/cm2 under an applied field of 1 T at 77 K.Keywords
