Abstract
Controlled expts. indicate that sulfadiazine has a marked effect on the asexual forms of malaria but fails to touch the gametocytes. The action is less effective than is that of either quinine, atabrin, or plasmoquin. The corrected erythrocytic sedimentation rate is of no value in predicting the probability of relapse following any type of treatment for malaria, although some workers place much reliance upon such determination. Keywords
