Abstract
Hermite's reciprocity law is applied to the calculation of the angular‐momentum states of equivalent particle configurations. Connections between boson and fermion states are considered and a method is given for determining the number of times a given term appears in l3 without requiring a complete term analysis. A succinct expression for the number of S‐states arising in the [22] representation of R2l+1 under R2l+1 → R3 is developed. Keywords
