Abstract
A new type of converters is described, which is based on the combined utilization of pyroelectric and electrooptic effects, and is able to convert any effect causing temperature change (e.g. infrared radiation) into visible light signal. By the aid of a simple model of the device estimations are given for the sensitivity of the converter made from materials attainable at present. Keywords
