Abstract
The phenomena of electrical contact are examined in detail. The difference between the behaviors of metals and semi-conductors is pointed out. It is shown that the density of conduction electrons in a semi-conductor can be expected to change appreciably from its normal value which may be important for the explanation of certain phenomena. Keywords
