Abstract

The reaction of dicyclopentadienylhexacarbonyldichromium with elemental selenium at ambient temperature provides a simple route to (η⁵-C₅H₅)₂Cr₂(CO)₄Se (1) and (η⁵-C₅H₅)₂Cr₂(CO)₄Se₂2 in high yields.
