Abstract
A hypothesis to explain the genetic mode of transmission of familial hyperlipemia is enlarged to include a possible way that the basic metabolic error in familial hyperlipemia may act to produce a combination of hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipemia. A practical, simple and effective regime is described for the control of this probably not uncommon metabolic defect. The normal delayed postprandial fat clearance associated with advancing years is discussed. Keywords
