Abstract
The reactions are sharp and well defined and check with those obtained with a standard 18-hr. test. The method involves concentration of antigen, use of small amounts of both serum and antigen, and thorough mixing. One-tenth cc. heavy suspension with 0.1 cc. diluted serum is shaken for 2 min., 0.5 cc. saline is added, and the reading made. Killed suspensions or live cultures are used. The test has been used to determine titer of animals under treatment, for identification and typing of organisms, demonstration of absorption of agglutinins, and diagnosis of infectious diseases. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
