Abstract
Hb Beth Israel, one of the few variants with a greatly decreased affinity for oxygen, was first discovered in a 13 yr old Italian boy living in New York City [USA]. The same variant was observed in a 14 yr old Yugoslavian male, while neither high parents not any other member of his family had this abnormality. This communication reports the structural characterization of the isolated abnormal Hb.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
