Abstract
We report here our first experience with the use of a total artificial heart in a human being. The heart was developed at the University of Utah, and the patient was a 61-year-old man with chronic congestive heart failure due to primary cardiomyopathy, who also had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
