Abstract
A mailable packet, the Medical Surpak, that meets some of the requirements for radiation protection surveys of diagnostic medical X-ray installations, is described. The Surpak is mailed to the user of an X-ray machine, who exposes and returns it to the laboratory for processing and analysis. The principal component of the Surpak is X-ray film and the cost including processing and analysis is between 010 and $15.
