Abstract
Eight novel oligoglycosides, Muscarosides G–N 3–10, have been isolated from the bulbs of Muscari armeniacum and Muscari botryoides, in addition to known Muscarosides A–C 12–14 and scillascilloside D–1 11. Their structure was elucidated mainly by spectral analysis (FAB–MS and 1D- and 2D-nmr spectroscopy) and, in some cases, degradative chemical study. The aglycone of 3–10 is the spirocyclic nortriterpenoid 1 or 2. The monose units of their di-, tri-, tetra-, or hexasaccharide chain are β-D-glucopyranose, α-L-arabinopyranose, α-L-rhamnopyranose, β-D-galactopyranose, α-L-arabinofuranose, and β-D-apio-D-furanose.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
