Abstract
Durch die Erkenntnis, daß sich zahlreiche biologische Elementarvorgänge an membranartigen Strukturen abspielen, hat die Theorie des Molekültransports durch Membranen erneutes Interesse gewonnen. Die Thermodynamik der irreversiblen Prozesse ermöglicht es heute, die zum Teil recht komplizierten Kopplungserscheinungen an Membranen rationell zu beschreiben. Daneben hat sich die Untersuchung theoretischer Membranmodelle als wertvolle Ergänzung zur thermodynamischen Methode erwiesen.Keywords
