Reduced-complexity digital filtering structures using primitive operations

Abstract

The letter presents a class of algorithms which generate filtering structures with reduced numbers of elementary operations. The directed acyclic graphs which result completely describe the device structure, and may be mapped directly into hardware or software realisations.
