Abstract
The proton chemical shift tensor for the hydrogen‐bonded hydroxyl proton in trichloroacetic acid is reported as determined by multiple pulse NMR measurements. The deviation of the principal axis corresponding to the most positive principal value from the hydroxyl bond direction is characterized, and this twisting is discussed in terms of the locations of nearby concentrations of electron density. Keywords
