Abstract
In 144 parallel measurements of nasal resistance from 50 normal persons, a good conformity betweenbody plethysmographic and posterior rhinomanometricmethod could be demonstrated (r = 0.90). In contrast, the anterior variant of rhinomanometry was not reliableenough. Theoretical objections against the body plethysmographic ‘subtraction principle’ are disproved by this studyKeywords
