Abstract
The ecg. changes in 75 cases of mitral stenosis are descr. The most frequent changes are found in the P waves, in a tendency to right axis deviation, and right ventricular hypertrophy, and in the presence of an rRR pattern in the standard leads. Biphasic P waves in V1 are common. No clear relationship was shown between the size of the left atrium and the amplitude or duration of the P wave. Some relationship could be shown between the pulmonary artery pressure and right ventricular hypertrophy (as shown by the unipolar chest leads). Keywords
