Abstract

Correlations between the measured strengths of excitation in the (

n, γ

) and (

d, p

) reactions on the

N = 82

nuclei

{Ba}^{138}

,

{Ce}^{140}

, and

{Nd}^{142}

are discussed. The results are shown to be consistent with the common unique parent assumption of Lane and Wilkinson.
