Abstract
An integrated thermogravimetric/Fourier transform infrared (TGA/FTIR) system is used to detect the presence of a fatty acid in a commercial, photodegradable, polyethylene concentrate. This technique is simple, rapid, convenient, and requires minimal sample manipulation. It can be very useful for monitoring the differences in resin concentrates.
