Abstract
Chronic diffuse lung disease is demonstrated well on high-resolution CT, but the expense and the high dose of radiation associated with this technique make it inappropriate for every patient. This article compares the clinical usefulness of high-resolution CT with that of other diagnostic techniques. Specific indications for its use were determined after reviewing previously published reports. Keywords
