Abstract
A recently studied autocatalytic chemical reaction model for a nonequilibrium first-order phase transition is applied to fluctuations in surface density at the phase boundary. The model is exactly soluble for the dynamics of small fluctuations. The analysis also carries through for fluctuations from solitary solutions. Keywords
