Abstract
The range of SAID activities is outlined. These include database management, partial-wave analysis, and the determination of resonance properties. As the relationships between amplitude analysis, partial-wave analysis, and resonance extraction are often confused, comments are made in order to clarify the key differences. The multipole analysis of single-pion photoproduction is described in detail in order to show model-dependence appears in our fits to data. Keywords
