Abstract
X-ray spectra and energy distribution of electrons accompanying the electron loading in the accelerating tube of Van de Gaaff generator were obtained in the energy region of proton from 2.2– to 4.0 MeV. It was found that most of the loading electrons are accelerated through about 30 to 40 sections of accelerating tube which is consisted of 100 sections. The higher energy component of electrons accelerated up to 70 sections are produced at the accelerating voltage beyond E p =3.45 MeV. The intensity of electron increases rapidly with the beam energy. Keywords
