Abstract
The solution of certain types of engineering problems may be aided by the u se of probability methods. The ordinary theory of probability, as developed in Least Squares, is not usually suitable for the analysis of natural phenomena. In general, an unsymmetrical probability formula is better adapted to engineering problems. The object of this paper is to develop such a formula and to show its application to practical work. Keywords
