Abstract
Low temperature preservation of viable sporozoites and asexual parasites of human malaria was successful for periods as long as 958 and 1093 days, respectively. Paired samples indicate little if any loss in viability during extended storage at about -70[degree]C. Although an occasional failure is encountered this method is extremely useful for routine viable preservation of malaria strains. Keywords
